Do you have a fun fact about your business or something you’re doing at your business that you’re excited about? We’ve never really officially had a logo. I am working with a local graphic designer to create our first logo.
What is your role with the NEDC, and how long have you been involved? two years, serving as treasurer and on the investment committee
What is the most interesting or incredible thing you have learned about local economic development by being involved in the NEDC? The NEDC is ready for any opportunity to pop up at any time.
Why do you continue to be involved in local economic development? Why is this an important issue for you? I want to see Nevada grow. Not just grow to get bigger but grow to get better. I did not grow up here, but I am raising a family here. Quality job growth, new housing, and more diversification all help make the community better.
What other involvements do you have in the local community/county? Rotary Club of Nevada, Main Street Nevada, Indian Creek Country Club, United Way Golf Committee
What are your favorite pastimes/hobbies? Lake life, golf, travel, mowing stripes in the yard, fishing, cooking, wine tasting.
Who are the members of your family? Wife Katie (HR at Ames Lab), daughter Ayla (3), son Aidan (6 mos)
What is something fun about you that only your high school or college friends would probably know? I had a 1987 Suburban with subs in it. They called it a “bumpin’ burban.”
If you had only one hour a week to watch TV, what would you watch? I do like a good TV show, maybe Wicked Tuna.
What has 2020 taught you? That it feels like it is two years old already.
