The Nevada Economic Development Council is pleased to announce that On Track Construction has opened its new facility in Nevada.
“On behalf of the City of Nevada, I wish to extend our congratulations on completing a beautiful new facility in our community,” says Brett Barker, Mayor of Nevada. “We are thrilled On Track Construction decided to make this investment happen in Nevada.”
The new building, located in the west industrial area of Nevada, consists of 15,600 square feet of floor space between two stories, including office and shop space, as well as a wash bay for equipment.
“As we started the building project in 2021 we were unaware of the challenges we were going to face. Those challenges consisted of material shortages and price hikes that threw us constant curve balls throughout the building construction. There were many changes in building materials and design features altered to make this all happen,” says Matt Runge, owner of On Track Construction.
“Fortunately, our team was able to navigate those and keep this building process On Track! We are thankful to have partnered with Woodruff Construction, RMH Architects, Fox Engineering and State Bank & Trust. There were also many other contractors, engineers and city officials involved throughout the project that made this project a success. We are excited to deepen our roots in this community and look forward to many successful years serving Nevada and the surrounding area.”
The facility is a combination of pre-engineered metal building and conventional steel construction. The project featured custom-built components such as the exposed steel frame in the clearstory and an excavator track mounted to a concrete wall in the reception area.
Woodruff Construction was the general contractor on this project also providing preconstruction services during the design phase, working with RMH Architecture. Mechanical and electrical work for the building was completed through design-build by Mechanical Comfort and Van Maanen Electric. The owner of the building, On Track Construction, self-performed and contracted separately all of the site work and utilities.
